High Resolution aerial panoramas

A project by a Russian Photographer. He has dramatic panoramas from all over the world taken from a helicopter or some other similarly high point. I particularly liked the New York (duh), San Francisco, Miami, and Victoria Falls series.

....or at least as we know it.

In a great, smart piece in New York Magazine, Jonathan Chait argues just that. Demographics are a strong force working against the G.O.P. and their intransigence may ultimately be their downfall should they not change their ways. This article really drives home the importance of the 2012 election. I recommend the read:

As a side note New York magazine has really stepped up their political journalism in the last few years. Pieces of this quality have become quite regular.
